Alexi Brock + Kate Quarfordt

June 21, 2-6pm

Kate Quarfordt – Sun Glyphs

Project Type: Participatory Art / Movement Ritual
Photographic captures of sunlight reflections on urban surfaces—windows, buildings, sidewalks—revealing hidden, ephemeral patterns or “glyphs.” These natural symbols are turned into flags and used in participatory

performance, alchemizing nationalistic pageantry into rituals for collective liberation.

· Participants use artistic glyph "dice" to randomly select glyph flags.

· Flags become movement prompts in a group dance/choreography session.

· Explores the intersection of urban light, chance, and embodied language.

Alexi Brock – We Grab Our Own Workshop

Project Type: Social Practice / Art & Activism / Workshop
Community-based workshop where participants paint and embellish ceramic vulvas, reclaiming bodily autonomy and protest through art.

· Each participant paints and embellishes two vulvas. One personalized vulva sculpture is added to Alexi’s ongoing gallery installation.

· The other is placed publicly by the participant and documented on Instagram:
